South Terrebonne Administration
The vision of the South Terrebonne High School learning community is to establish relationships with all stakeholders, enabling all students to graduate on time through college and career ready diploma tracks that provide opportunities to earn college credits or workplace credentials, in order to generate successful post-secondary experiences for all students.
South Terrebonne High School will utilize current Louisiana curricular resources, National Career and Technical Education Standards, and National College Board Standards to:
- Build meaningful relationships which support and encourage students to set and attain college and career goals.
- Implement rigorous and relevant lessons that require students to read, write, listen, present and think critically.
- Utilize data from assessments to challenge and prepare students for post-secondary training and 21st century careers.
STHS/LMS Take In & Dismissal
UPDATE 12/19/23
Due to construction beginning at STHS, the main driveway in front of STHS/LMS is being converted to one lane. The following updated procedures must be followed starting January 3, 2024:
GENERAL INFO
Check-outs will not be allowed after 2:00 PM.
STHS Early Dismissal students should be picked up from the driveway behind the LMS modular. Parents will not be able to park in the main driveway in front of STHS.
STHS visitors should park in the grass of the north yard (near oak trees/wooden benches) and must check in with the office. Do not park in the main driveway.
TAKE IN PROCEDURES
Student drivers and car riders should not be on campus before 7:00 AM.
STHS Car Riders - drop off behind LMS modular from 7:00-7:10 AM; drop off in front of ST after 7:10 AM.
In order to keep the line moving in front of ST, cars should pull up to the furthest ramp past the office. Once line movement stops, all students in vehicles along the boardwalk should immediately exit the vehicle. Do not block crosswalks.
LMS Car Riders - no change; drop off behind LMS modular.
AM & PM TCT students should remain in the recess area until the bell rings (7:20 AM & 11:43 PM).
TAPPS students should remain on the front porch of the ST Office until the bus arrives.
DISMISSAL PROCEDURES:
ST Car Riders must be picked up from the student parking lot.
Parents are allowed to park in empty parking spots or may line up along the shoulder of the driveway near the student parking lot. Do not block traffic.
On rainy days, parents will have the option to pick up students from the main driveway, but will not be allowed to enter campus until the buses exit (about 2:40 PM).
LMS Car Riders must be picked up behind the LMS modular (follow morning line procedures).
Those who have both ST and LMS Car Riders – ST students will wait with LMS students for the pick-up line behind LMS (follow morning line procedures).
