After our assessment of last night’s cold weather, all of our buildings have working heat and no buildings have sustained damaged water lines.

Out of further abundance of caution, tomorrow (Tuesday, January 27, 2026) we will implement a two-hour delayed opening plan.

All students and school employees (except custodians and cafeteria workers) will report based on the appropriate schedule. https://www.tpsd.org/students-parents/late-arrival-early-dismissal-procedures-schedules

For example, with a two-hour delayed opening:
● An employee who normally reports to work at 7:30 a.m. will report at 9:30 a.m.
● A student who reports to the bus stop at 7:05 a.m. will report at 9:05 a.m.
● A school that starts at 8:00 a.m. will start at 10:00 a.m.

All schools will serve cereal and milk for breakfast, and schools will resume their normal schedule with lunch being served at regular times.
Dismissals will be at regular bell times.

All 240-day employees will report at normal times and not follow the two-hour delayed schedule.
