RememberingAimee
God made a mistake
Things happen.  Good things ... bad things.  Sometimes things happen that make you say "Why!"  How could God let this happen.  We lost Aimee Lagarde this week.  It shouldn't have happened.   It wasn't time for her to go.  God must've made a mistake.
Aimee was one of those great persons that everyone liked.  She excelled academically, in school activities, and socially.  In a world where society is concerned about the way our youth are growing up, she was a shining example that kids still do turn out right.
Though she was taken from us, let us pray that our memories of her will last a lifetime.  Life can be short; let us remember to spend each day being happy and spending time with the ones we love.
We love you, Aimee

Dealing with the Tragic Loss
No!
Our first reaction was one of anger and denial.  No!  This can't be happening.  Not Aimee.  We are angry ... trying to find blame ... upset that we are powerless to change what has happened.
Why!
We don't understand.  How can this happen?  Did God make a mistake?  Aimee was such a good person, she didn't deserve this.  As humans, we try to understand why things happen.
It's not that God did or did not make a mistake; a loving God would surely have nothing to do with taking her away from her family and friends.  We are living in a world where accidents happen.  Although it's hard to understand, there is no good reason for her loss; it was just a terrible thing.
Goodbye and Memories
At some point ... after the anger and denial are assimilated ... after we we have shed our tears and accepted the loss ... we eventually say goodbye.  We come to realize that Aimee is gone, but we have to continue with life.
Though we say goodbye to Aimee's presence, we will always keep the memories of her with us.   For those who didn't know her, they surely feel the loss to our community of a truly good person.  For those who knew Aimee, there will always be a part of our hearts reserved for memories of her.
Aimee's death in itself had no purpose.  But I'm sure that if it can be used to some good end, Aimee would like that.  She would want us to realize the importance of each day.  She would want us to be careful on the road.  She would want us to cherish our family and friends.  She would want us to be happy.
