Future Teachers of America

| The Future Teachers of America Club is a service-learning club dedicated to developing students' interest in and skill at a teaching career. Each member is encouraged to help out teachers in our school and to record their service to teachers on a card. Once members record 10 service tasks, they get a service star. Members' service stars will be recognized at the end-of-the year banquet. Members also earn skill stars by planning lessons and field trips. Members spend one day a year trading places with a teacher in our school - helping teachers to conduct their lessons. Members also will visit an elementary school at the end of the year to read aloud for younger students. | |
