This introductory course teaches students how to select clothing, choose colors, repair and launder clothing, and use basic sewing skills to construct a simple garment. This course would be an excellent selection for a student interested in the fashion industry, retail marketing of clothing, and design or careers in clothing merchandising, fashion buyer or tailoring. The student is responsible for the cost of materials used in clothing construction.
This course teaches advanced clothing construction skills. The student will sew garments with zippers, button holes, collars, etc., and will learn to use the overlook machine for finishing seams. The student is responsible for the cost of materials used in clothing construction.

A student will learn how diet affects athletic performance, how to achieve your ideal weight, and how to use kitchen tools and equipment to prepare food.
