Angela received a Bachelors in Music Education from Nicholls State University in 1991. While at Nicholls, she performed major rolls in Mozart’s “Cosi Fan Tutte” and “The Marriage of Figaro” along with roles in various other operas, musicals and concerts. In 1987, Angela was awarded Thibodaux Playhouse Best Actress for her performance in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat” as the Narrator. In 2005, she received people’s choice and Best Actress awards in 2005 for her performance in “A My Name Is Alice”. She was also in the Thibodaux Playhouse production of “Nunsense”. Angela is currently the director of choral activities at H. L. Bourgeois High School where her choirs have consistently received superior ratings at district and state festivals. She has served as a guest clinician for the St. Charles Parish Junior High Honor Choir, LMEA District VII Elementary Honor Choir(2002) and directed the St. Charles Parish High School Honor Choir in February 2006. She is a member of the National Association for Music Education, the Louisiana Music Educator’s Association and the American Choral Directors Association. In March 2005, her choir sang in Carnegie Hall under the direction of Simon Carrington from Yale.
