Students answer questions about junior high subjects and current events in a double elimination tournament that features:

• toss up questions

• bonus questions

• category rounds

• lightening round

HJH Accomplishments

The Houma Junior High School Quiz Bowl team has been competing in the South Louisiana Quiz Bowl Competition since its inception in 1989.  During the years of competition, Houma Junior High School teams have earned 6 first place trophies and 2 third place trophies.

Many of our quiz bowl team members have gone on to play for Terrebonne High School.  Some have gone on to compete by invitation at the state and national competitions.

Though games are aired on H-TV, they are taped at the studios of    KWBJ-TV 39 in Morgan City.
