NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY

MARJORIE SINCLAIR CHAPTER

Membership in the Marjorie Sinclair Chapter of the National Honor Society is one of the highest honors which can be bestowed upon a Houma Junior High School student. 

The goal of all chapters is to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in students of the secondary schools of the nation.

 

In order to be considered for membership, a student must

bullet

have been enrolled at Houma Junior High School for at least one semester prior to induction.

bullet

be either in the seventh, eighth, or ninth grade.

bullet

have an overall scholastic average of 3.2 or above per grading period.

bullet

have no record of suspension for the calendar year prior to the date of induction.

bullet

earn an above average rating from faculty and administrative evaluations.

 

Induction for new members is conducted during the Spring semester.
