The National Beta Club promotes character, develops leadership skills, encourages service involvement, recognizes achievement, and provides technological advantages to students in grades 5 - 12. Houma Junior High School's Junior Beta Club involves students in grades 7 - 9.
Students must maintain a 2.5 average to be a member of the HJH club. Dues are a one time payment of $15.00 for new members, and $2.00 a year for returning or transferring members.

2002 - 2003 24 students attended the National Competition on June 18 - 21 in Nashville, TN.
2003 - 2004 10 students attended the National Competition in Alanta, Georgia.
2004 - 2005 National Convention was held in New Orleans, LA. Our Junior Beta Club made the stage decorations.
