Mrs. McCann graduated from Nicholls State University in 1980, and began teaching special education, and then she taught thrid grade at Southdown School.  She taught third grade at Schriever School, and then here at Broadmoor she taught second and third graders.  Mrs. McCann transferred back to Schriever and taught first grade for eleven years, then served as Master Teacher for two years and Assistant Principal for two more years.

    In 2003, Mrs. McCann was appointed principal of Broadmoor School.

About our Assistant Principal Joanne Hergert

     Mrs. Joanne Hergert graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond in 1980.   She taught grades 1-4 in St. Bernard Parish for 10 years.  She transferred to Broadmoor School in 1991, and to East Houma School in 1992 where she taught 1st grade students.  Mrs. Hergert taught Gifted students at Grand Caillou Elementary School, Grand Caillou Middle School, and Broadmoor School from 1993-2002.  In the 2002-2003 school year, Mrs. Hergert was promoted to Assistant Principal at Broadmoor School.
